Completed Thesis in 2 Months

Well, I don't know where to start from. After completing my MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of the Punjab, Lahore  I got the opportunity to get admission to MS at the Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS). I was very happy as I wanted to pursue my career in the field of Human Resource Management. To complete my coursework I have to pass eight subjects. I got straight 3 A's, 3 B+, and 2 B's. For me getting good grades and also doing a job in the private sector is always hectic. But somehow I have managed in such conditions.

Now the time comes when I have completed three semesters of my research degree program and in the last semester I've got the opportunity to do a research thesis or take two additional courses to complete the degree program and fulfill the requirements. Like a good student, I and my friend  Naveed Zafar choose the research thesis. I and Naveed already prepared a rough proposal for our thesis in the summer holidays. Many students did this mistake that they lose the time to make a research proposal. In my opinion, a research student must start its proposal in the second or third semester.

Normally six to eight months or probably at least one year is given to students to complete their thesis. But I think due to some administrative issues that occurred in the University (that's my personal opinion) only four months are provided to us. In these important four months, I have to complete & submit a research proposal, collect the data for research, submit the rough draft of my thesis and in the end, I have to clear my defense. And what I got! yes only the four harsh and hectic months. Oh yes yes! let me tell you one more thing i.e. the proposal that I have submitted already got rejected in this scenario. 

In all this hectic scene that was already performed in my life, any student can opt for two additional subjects just to complete his / her degree. But but but, ladies & gentlemen your brother is a warrior (Obviously ME hahahahah lolz).

I just tried to overcome my fear. I started to write my literature review again as this was the first task that was assigned to me by my research supervisor (Ma'am Saba Nawab). Its been 12 o'clock at night when I started to write my literature review again and I wrote the whole night. Probably it takes 8 straight hours and I have written 10 pages. Now that's a big achievement. Some guidelines were also set by the Department to complete the research thesis. Like the thesis must contain 10,000 to 25,000 words, must be written on at least 300 pages, the plagiarism must be less than 8% and the sample size must be 200 to 300. Except for all such things I've also completed some other chapters of my thesis. 

Then the phase of the data collection came. I was doing my research on "Green HRM Practices Influence in the Private Banking Sector". I have to collect my data from 15 banks which were very very hectic. I calculated my days as I only got one and a half months to complete my thesis. Every day in the hot summer I reach many branches of private banks, delivered my research questionnaire, face their wrath because it's hard to collect data from branch employees who are working on their routine tasks due to which they have very limited time to read the questionnaire. But somehow I managed. 

After that, I need to perform statistical analysis and for that, I am thankful to my friend Waqar, Naveed, Ali Raza, and of course Youtube for helping me. I completed almost all of my research work. I almost gave ten to twelve hours to my thesis daily. I resigned from my job which was the biggest risk that I have taken in my life so far just to complete my thesis. I know that big risks can provide you big returns. All I have done this to fulfill my parent's dreams. After completing my thesis in just 2 months I got the biggest opportunity of my life. I got selected to work for the Provincial Government as an Officer (BS - 17) 

Now I feel that God sees my potential, my hard work, and most importantly the will to perform in my life.
